Standard passive equipment includes an Advanced Compatibility Engineering Body Structure, front, side and side curtain airbags, and three-point seat belts in all seating positions. Families can also take advantage of the Lower Anchors and Teachers for Children (LATCH) in the back seat, which make securing a car seat much easier. Child-proof door locks and a front seat-belt reminder also help passengers stay where they will be safe.

Stability assistance, anti-lock brakes, brake assist, and a multi-angle rearview camera are also standard.
