2018 Honda Accord Design Changes

The new 2018 Honda Accord was unveiled later last week. After some early teaser information about the new powertrain options that will be coming on this vehicle, we had high expectations for the design and technology of the 2018 Honda Accord. It did not disappoint. Drivers looking for advances in handling, technology, and good looks will be pleased with 2018 Honda Accord design changes and enhancements.

2018 Honda Accord Design Changes

One of the most striking changes coming on the new 2018 Honda Accord is the re-imagined design, which delivers a modern and sporty look that still is unmistakably Honda. The signature chrome wing front grille makes a bold statement over the main lower air intake. This front fascia will be available with nine-lamp full-LED headlights and LED foglights.

The 2018 Honda Accord will have a longer wheel base and more width while dropping just over half an inch in height. The new look will be bold and dramatic, while offering more passenger volume and cargo space in the trunk. The amount of this increase may vary depending on the trim level.

New Chassis, Improved Handling

Each model of the new 2018 Honda Accord will also feature a lighter and more rigid body structure. It should offer a weight reduction of more than 100 pounds on all trim levels, and increased cabin quietness. A new chassis will also offer responsive awareness of the road for increased handling pleasure. A responsive suspension system, including an Adaptive Damper System, will be standard along with a Two-Mode Driving System with two settings: Normal and Sport.
