Each year, manufacturers bring vehicles to the SEMA Show that highlight the accessorizing and upfitting possibilities of the vehicles. While these models are always fun, they don’t always translate to vehicles and equipment that car shoppers can find at their local dealerships. This year, some of Honda’s vehicles at the 2018 SEMA Show fit that bill, but others were designed to highlight practical possibilities. Smart Intersections Could Save Lives and Reduce Vehicle Damage

Intersections are some of the most dangerous places for pedestrians and cars. Visibility can be limited for everyone. Honda has already brought advanced driver assistance technology to more than one million drivers through the Honda Sensing suite of features, but that is certainly not the end of the journey. New Honda Smart Intersection technology, which is in the early development and testing stage, could help warn drivers about obstacles hidden around the corner. Minnie Mouse-Themed Honda Odyssey Enchants Parents and Kids

We have a had a lot to say about the new 2018 Honda Odyssey (as evidenced by our many blog posts about this family-pleasing minivan). From its generous connectivity features to its versatile seating options, the 2018 Honda Odyssey is designed to help parents and kids have the best driving experience they can. The adorable Minnie Mouse-themed Honda Odyssey that was on display at this year’s Disney D23 Expo: Ultimate Fan Event was a one-of-a-kind model, which will unfortunately NOT be available in our new Honda Odyssey inventory here at Battison Honda, or available to purchase at any Honda dealership. It features a bright pink and white polka-dot exterior design reminiscent of Minnie Mouse’s iconic outfit. In this 2018 Honda Odyssey MINNIE VAN unveiling video from Disney, it’s amazing to see the kids’ faces light up in delight at seeing this vehicle. (more…)

The transition from March into April is always an exciting time. The flowers are starting to appear, winter is turning into spring, and news (especially around April 1st) gets…interesting. Plenty of businesses had April Fool’s jokes this year, highlighting new products that will never actually see the light of day. For Honda, it was the Honda Horn Emojis, a driver communication system, done with horn sounds, that was advertised (only on the days leading up to April Fool’s Day 2017) as being available on all models of the 2018 Honda Odyssey. While this emoji horn system is not actually coming out (yet!) it raises some interesting questions about how drivers and people communicate today.
