Summer is moving by faster than any of us may like, which means that Labor Day is right around the corner. How are you going to celebrate this last long weekend before the back to school season fully kicks in? We have found a few Labor Day weekend 2017 events and festivals near Oklahoma City OK that may be exactly what you are looking for.

Sept 1 – Movies Under the Stars – Piedmont OK

On the Friday of Labor Day weekend from 8-11 p.m. parents and kids can enjoy a free outdoor movie (Home) and a snack. Learn more at their Facebook event page.

Sept 1-9 – Oktoberfest – Choctaw OK

From Friday Sept. 1 all the way to Saturday Sept. 9, those who love all things German can enjoy the Choctaw 2017 Oktoberfest. The festival will run from 5 p.m. to midnight on work days and noon to midnight on weekends and Labor Day. It includes music, great foods, beer, wine and dancing. Learn more here.

Sept 2 – Red Brick Nights – Guthrie OK

The first Saturday of the summer months is always Red Brick Nights in downtown Guthrie OK. Free music, shopping and food trucks were you can purchase food make a great party atmosphere.

Sept 1-3 – 34th Annual Western Heritage Festival – Arcadia OK

Depending on the night at the Arcadia Western Heritage Festival you can enjoy a blues festival, a street dance, gospel music, a rodeo and much more. Cost varies for events, but there are plenty of things to see and enjoy for free. Check out the full schedule here.

Sept 2-3 – National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum – OKC

Bank of Americal customers can get into the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum on September 2 and 3 for free. Bring your ATM, credit or check card from Bank of America to get in. On Saturday Sept. 2 kids can also take part in a Leather Braided Bracelet workshop from 10 to noon for the price of admission.

Sept 2-3 – Chickasaw Cultural Center – Sulphur OK

The Labor Day Celebration at the Chickasaw Cultural Center runs Saturday and Sunday with storytellers, cultural instruction, games, and stomp dancing, just to name a few things!

Sept 4 – Labor Day Celebration – Henryetta OK

This free festival has a carnival, rodeo, concerts, games, a parade and closes out with fireworks. The day begins at 10 a.m. on the main street.
