Powertrain Equipment

All coming trim grades of the 2020 Honda HR-V will have a naturally aspirated 1.8-liter, four-cylinder engine under the hood mated to a continuously variable transmission. Sport models and higher will be equipped with dual-mode paddle shifters to control the CVT. All trim grades will make 141 horsepower and 127 pound-feet of torque. The LX, Sport, EX and EX-L versions of the 2020 HR-V can be outfitted with two- or all-wheel-drive. Buyers choosing the top of the line Touring model will only have the all-wheel-drive drivetrain.

Passenger and Cargo Dimensions

As many as five passengers can safely and comfortably ride in the 2020 Honda HR-V. However, when it comes to cargo volume, the various HR-V models demonstrate a few differences. A 2020 Honda HR-V that is equipped with two-wheel-drive, there will up to 24.3 cubic-feet of cargo volume when the rear seats are being used by passengers. Folding the rear seat down in these same versions will make up to 58.8 cubic-feet available.

Buyers choosing a 2020 Honda HR-V with all-wheel-drive will see a few more differences among the available trim grades. While all AWD-equipped models have 23.2 cubic-feet when the rear seat is filled with riders. The LX and Sport trims offer a maximum of 57.6 cubic-feet of cargo volume, with the EX, EX-L and Touring making up to 55.9 cubic-feet available.
