Powering the 2023 Honda Civic Type R is a more robust and responsive version of Honda’s award-winning 2.0-liter Turbocharged 4-Cylinder engine, paired with an improved six-speed manual transmission and rev-matching system for an even more intimate connection with the driver.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How Does the 2023 Civic Type R Look?  <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 2023 Honda Civic Type R features a longer, lower and wider body that integrates advanced aerodynamics to achieve well-balanced downforce and reduce drag. Its larger front fender grilles and a new side sill design behind the front wheels also help enhance airflow efficiency.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Type R’s muscular fenders flare out over the lightweight wheels with wider tires, and a new, more aggressive front bumper design featuring a sporty honeycomb grille mesh echoes the intricate honeycomb trim inside the cabin. Wide rear doors, a redesigned rear spoiler, and a reshaped rear bumper that reveals its signature three-round exhaust outlets and new rear diffuser accentuate the 2023 Type R’s aggressive stance.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

New for 2023, a serialized Type R plate is now placed on the dash along with the iconic red seats, carpet, and trim. The Civic Type R’s suede-like upholstery with high friction coefficient reduces body slippage in high-G driving situations. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also new is the +R driving mode exclusive meter design that gives access to necessary information, with a graphic engine rpm display, rev indicator lights, and gear position indicator placed at the top. Other interior features include a lower multi-information display that shows driver-selected vehicle information, Honda LogR\u2122 data logger and a stopwatch to record lap times, and the ability to share driving videos. \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
