When it comes to celebrating German culture with dancing, food, music, and, of course, beer, there is no better place to go than an Oktoberfest. Ranging from early September to all the way in early December in some areas, these celebrations of all things German and Germanic can be a lot of fun, and a way to learn about different cultures (and, you know, eat and drink many different delicious things). In this blog we wanted to look at a few Oktoberfest celebrations 2017 in Oklahoma. Unfortunately, this blog is too late for the Choctaw Oktoberfest that wrapped up on Sept. 9, 2017, but there are still a few excellent festivals on their way for the state of Oklahoma.<\/p>\n

Fassler Hall OKC Oktoberfest –\u00a0Oct. 1, 2017<\/h3>\n

The next festival is in our very own Oklahoma City. The Fassler Hall Oktoberfest has in the past been a three-day event, but the only thing we are sure about this year is the 2nd Annual Beer & Beefsteak Banquet on October 1. Held from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., this evening will feature all-you-can-eat tenderloin, fries, and Warsteiner beer. There will also be live music, and proceeds will benefit the Humane Society. Enid Oktoberfest – Oct. 6, 2017 (First Friday)<\/h3>\n

Part of the First Friday series<\/a> in Enid, OK, their Oktoberfest on Oct. 6 will be held in Downtown Enid, and is free to attend, with a variety of food, beverages, and goods to purchase. The High Point Beir Garten in the Breezeway, German games and music, and more will be available to enjoy.<\/div>\n

Vinita Oktoberfest – Oct. 14, 2017<\/h3>\n

The Oktoberfest in Vinita will feature food, fun, German-themed entertainment and family activities. We believe that this festival will run from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., followed by the Oktoberfest Dance from 6-9 p.m. We’re not sure if tickets or RSVPs are required for the dance. Tulsa Oktoberfest – Oct. 19-22<\/h3>\n

General admission for the Tulsa Oktoberfest (which has been rated as one of the best Oktoberfests in the country) is $10 for adults at the gate, and free for kids 12 and under. Pre-ordering tickets will save you a few bucks and admission on Friday before 4 p.m. is free. Food and beverages will be available to purchase, and great displays and rides will be available. In theory there will be an OKCtoberfest in the Farmers Market District of Oklahoma City OK on Oct. 6 and 7, but we haven’t been able to find links or solid information that the event is happening this year.
