Christmas is right around the corner, which means that homes, neighborhoods and businesses are getting in the holiday spirit with a plethora of Christmas light shows. OKC is no exception. While there are great Christmas light displays everywhere (and maybe even in your own backyard) if you want a different full display and a party atmosphere you should check out our top three choices for the best light shows 2018 in Oklahoma City OK.<\/p>\n

Midwest City Holiday Lights Spectacular<\/a><\/h3>\n

Located in the Joe B. Barnes Regional Park, the Midwest City Holiday Lights Spectacular grew from humble beginnings to be one of the largest animated displays in five states. Visitors can drive through the display and enjoy more than 100 animated displays and even a light show choreographed to classic Christmas tunes. The show opens each night through Christmas night at 6 p.m. It is open until 10 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday and closes at 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. We’re not sure if there is a cost to drive through this light show.<\/p>\n

Yukon’s Christmas in the Park<\/a><\/h3>\n

Covering 100 acres over several parks in Yukon, the Christmas in the Park event features almost three miles of gorgeous illumination from millions of lights. There are also 2.2 miles of walking trails where individuals or families can enjoy self-guided tours through the lights. The Christmas in the Park is open from 6-11 p.m. nightly and is free to explore. Those who want a unique seasonal experience can take the Santa Express Train from Chisholm Trail Park (500 W Vandament) for just $2 per person and see the show in a different way. The train stops running at 10 p.m.<\/p>\n

Oklahoma City Downtown in December<\/a><\/h3>\n

The Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership and Devon Energy sponsor Downtown in December, along with other sponsors. This extravaganza is part light show, and party city festival, and always worth stopping by. Some highlights include afternoons with Santa Claus, outdoor ice skating, free water taxi trips, snow tubing, shopping, performances, and much more. Most events are free and open to the public. Events will be available all December and into January at various times and locations.<\/p>\n
