2019 Honda Insight Fuel Economy Ratings*<\/h2>\n

According to recently released information, the 2019 Honda Insight should be able to offer attractive mileage numbers for busy drivers. According to EPA estimates, this hybrid sedan should be able to offer 55 mpg* in city driving, which makes it very competitive against other hybrid cars.<\/p>\n

Insight LX and EX trims for 2019 should be able to offer 55 mpg in city driving and 49 mpg on the highway, for a combined rating of 52 mpg. Moving up to the 2019 Honda Insight Touring model brings a slight drop in EPA-estimated mileage. That elite model is rated for 51 mpg in city driving, 45 mpg on the highway, and 48 mpg for combined city and highway driving.<\/p>\n

How does the Insight offer fuel savings?<\/h3>\n

The hybrid powertrain of the 2019 Honda Insight allows it to offer EPA-estimated fuel economy numbers that are very competitive even against other hybrid models. This sedan has a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with an electric propulsion motor. This system offers 151 horsepower and 197 pound-feet of torque. The 2019 Insight also uses regenerative braking to conserve electricity and minimize wear-and-tear on the brakes.\n<\/p><\/div>\n
