The new Accord is turning heads with its attractive engine options and enhancements when compared to the 2017 model. However, when it comes to shopping for a midsize sedan, one question that families and individuals often have is “How much stuff can I fit in it?” In this blog we are going to explore 2018 Honda Accord trunk space and passenger room to see if there is enough for car shoppers needs.

2018 Honda Accord Trunk Space

No matter whether you choose the base LX model of the 2018 Honda Accord, or opt for an elite model or a hybrid option, there is plenty of trunk space. All models of the 2018 Honda Accord sedan offer a spacious 16.7 cubic feet of space for cargo. That’s plenty for loading up with luggage for at trip, or even with a load of pumpkins for fall decorations.

How many pumpkins fit in a 2018 Honda Accord?

The number of pumpkins you can fit in the trunk of the Honda Accord will vary wildly, depending on how large your pumpkins are, and on how they fit into the rear (after all, pumpkins are not the most evenly-size fruit). If you have pumpkins approximately the size of a bowling ball (which take up 0.18 cubic feet),  you may be able to fit 83 pumpkins in the trunk. With larger pumpkins that number drops significantly. (*We’re just estimating this by the numbers…we haven’t actually tried loading a new Accord down with pumpkins. Your results may vary).

Accord Passenger Space

Of course, the truck space in a vehicle isn’t the only way to determine how much stuff can fit into it. The passenger space in a vehicle is also very important. The passenger volume in the 2018 Honda Accord ranges from 105.6 cubic feet on the LX and Sport gasoline models, and the base Hybrid model, to 102.7 cubic feet on all other models. The change in space comes from different amounts of front and rear headroom, depending on what features come on the model.
